Please contact the archivist for further information. Abstract: The personal archive and letters of Sgt. Edwin T. Marsh of Company I, 140th Regiment of the New York State Volunteers (Ryan Zouaves). Included in this collection is a personal diary from his stay as a prisoner of war at Andersonville Prison and a large group of manuscripts, letters and documents. Included are his discharge papers, various post war documents relating to the "Survivors of Andersonville Prison" and the "Union Ex-Prisoners of War" Associations, a hand drawn map of the prison, and numerous newspaper clippings and related personal documents.
