Abstract: Carte de visite of Owen Lovejoy (1811-1864) brother of Elijah Lovejoy, a murdered abolitionist printer. He served in Congress as a representative from Illinois and was a strong supporter of Abraham Lincoln. Brady/Anthony backmark. VG.
