Biographical/Historical Sketch

Daniel L. Brancher mustered into the Field and Staff of the 106th Illinois Infantry on September 17, 1862. He served as Quartermaster Sergeant before he was named Adjutant on June 12, 1865. Brancher mustered out with his regiment on July 12, 1865 at Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Scope and Content Note

One letter (June 30, 1864; 4 pages) describes the Battle of Devall’s Bluff, Arkansas.
