H. Clay Dahlberg

Geronimo's Wolves
, Bronze, 18" ©

Born in San Antonio, Texas in 1946, his love for being a cowboy along with the influence of Charles Russell's Western art inspired Dahlberg to realize his talent as a sculptor. He began drawing at an early age and took some art classes in high school. On his second attempt to attend college, he discovered his real talent in a sculpture class at Stephen F. Austin College. While working in a feed store, he drew cowboy cartoons and sold them to Texas horse magazines to earn enough money to have his first pieces cast in bronze.

The Pearce Western Art Collection is proud to be the home of Dahlberg's bronze, Geronimo's Wolves.
