David Nordahl

Night Tracker, ©

Born in Albert Lea, Minnesota in 1941, Nordahl is a realist painter exclusively of the Apache Indian. He began this specialization in 1979 after moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico. He has made the study of the Apache his life's work, wanting to learn more about this mysterious tribe and their night movements. Nordahl is self-taught, and sold his first painting at the age of thirteen. By the time he was fifteen, he had his own studio, and more commissions than he could handle.
